This Tuesday, we witnessed the premature birth of Présumida’s baby, one of the mares seized in January in the Charleroi region. The consequences of her deficiencies and atrocious living conditions before her rescue led to the early birth of her foal, and unfortunately, Présumida cannot provide her with milk.
In urgency, we took the baby and her mother to the veterinary clinic where they have been hospitalized since Tuesday night. Only a few hours old, the foal is too small and weak to stand, and she has been admitted to intensive care where her condition remains critical. However, she bravely manages to drink her bottles, showing her will to live.
We have chosen to name her Victoire.
The veterinary clinic expenses will amount to a minimum of 5,000 euros. Yes, it’s a huge sum, but we must do everything possible to save the life of this little foal who breaks our hearts.
Help us gather this amount by donating to account BE48 1911 2251 7127 with the reference “Donations for VICTOIRE”.
We will keep you informed of her progress.
A big thank you to the team of veterinarians who have been taking care of her since Tuesday, and thank you all for your generosity.
