Good news! The aviary for our new cattery is being installed.

Our major renovation work, begun a year ago, is nearing completion.

Our cats can now enjoy part of the newly renovated cattery. At the end of the works, they will have 100 m² inside, in 3 different runs, which will be able to accommodate 40 cats, not counting the 40 other cats in the new quarantine area, which has been doubled.

The latest addition, the aviary, is being installed this week. Our cats will soon have access to a 110 m² outdoor run, taking us well beyond the standards for animal housing. This new outdoor space is essential for the well-being of our cats.

An aviary gives cats secure access to the outdoors, allowing them to enjoy fresh air and natural light… Ideal for reducing stress and preventing boredom!

What’s more, a well-designed aviary guarantees the cats’ safety and also contributes to their physical health, because they’ll be able to climb, pounce and explore once we’ve enhanced and enriched it with games and runs.

These renovations, necessary for the well-being and health of the abandoned animals we take in, are made possible thanks to your donations. However, the completion of the work weighs heavily on our finances, and once it’s finished, we’ll still have to fit out the facilities (for example, by financing wall runs, cat trees, etc.). That’s why we clearly need your help.

You can take part in this wonderful project for abandoned animals by making a donation to our fundraising campaign for the construction site: https://www.veeweyde.be/campagne-de-financement-du…/. By making a small donation or a larger payment, you can have your name on the donors’ wall, or be invited as a VIP to the inauguration of the new shelter in 2025.

This new shelter is dedicated to the thousands of animals we take in and care for. By helping us, you are contributing to the defense of the animal cause. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for them!
