Dear friends of our animal shelter,
When you make an appointment with us (for a meeting with a view to a potential adoption or even abandonment), our team makes special arrangements to welcome you. This includes preparing the space in advance and managing the logistics with our animal carers, who prepare to take the animal out while carrying out and interrupting other tasks. We put a lot of energy into ensuring that these moments go well for each animal and each visitor.
Unfortunately, when an appointment is not kept, and you don’t let us know, this blocks precious time in our diary and can disorganise our work.
For adoption visits, a missed appointment deprives another prospective adopter of the opportunity to come and meet an animal (and we’re not talking about the hope placed in an appointment that never comes…).
In the same way, a place reserved for a surrender that is not respected can prevent another animal in need from being taken in.
We understand that the unexpected can happen. If you are unable to come, and even if you arrive late, please let us know as soon as possible by calling 02/527.10.50 or emailing info@veeweyde.be. This helps us to organise ourselves enormously.
As you know, we are still undergoing renovation work and we still only operate by appointment.
A final reminder: due to renovation work at the shelter, our entrance has been temporarily relocated to the rear, rue des Papillons 245 (Vlindersstraaat 245), 1070 Brussels.
Many thanks for your understanding and support.
The Veeweyde team.
