Thanks to you, your donations and your generosity, this project is gradually taking shape.
This new shelter is dedicated to the thousands of animals that we will take in, care for and house.
In practical terms, your donations will enable us to :
- Provide the animals at the refuge with a more comfortable, secure space that is adapted to their needs.
With modernised facilities, we’ll be able to take in more animals in much better conditions! Renovated, more spacious and soundproof facilities will improve their behaviour and socialisation and increase their chances of being adopted.
- Financing the medical infrastructure for dogs, cats and Nacs: infirmaries, wake-up rooms and veterinary care areas
The care areas planned for the new refuge will enable us to offer animals immediate and appropriate basic medical care on site. This can be vital for sick, injured or newly-recruited animals. This will enable us to manage emergency care, treatments and regular health check-ups more effectively.
- Setting up a grooming area for the well-being of the animals
A grooming area equipped with modern equipment will enable us to improve the overall health of the animals. Making a donation towards the construction of a grooming area will contribute to their general well-being, thereby increasing their chances of adoption.
- Creating areas dedicated to mothers and their litters of puppies and kittens
Spaces dedicated to female cats with their kittens and female dogs with their puppies will be specially designed to provide them with a safe, calm and comfortable environment, adapted to their specific needs.
- Upgrading and enriching catteries and kennels
Your donations will enable us to enrich the various catteries and kennels. Enriching these areas is essential for the animals’ well-being: it helps to reduce stress and anxiety by creating comfortable and secure environments, while providing physical and mental stimuli.
What is enrichment?
Enrichment for dogs and cats involves stimulating their minds and bodies to improve their overall well-being. It aims to meet their natural needs by providing physical, mental and social activities. This includes interactive games, toys to solve (such as food puzzles), scratching posts and wall runs for cats. These activities help to prevent boredom, reduce stress and encourage balanced behaviour in the animal, by creating a more engaging and stimulating environment.
- Creating a comfort zone for animals in need of special care
After their rescue, animals in need will be able to recharge their batteries and regain confidence in humans. Your donation will enable us to invest in a comfort zone for animals that have been neglected, seized or are in need of special attention. This space will be specially designed to meet their emotional, physical and psychological needs, helping them to recover from traumatic experiences. These animals, often stressed, anxious or fearful, need an environment where they feel safe, protected and soothed.
