Our Brussels Shelter is the heart of our work for animals. Inaugurated in 1982, this building, which is currently undergoing major renovation work, is one of the largest in the capital.
It has following services:
The reception:
Our shelter is open by appointment at 02/527.10.50 for visits and adoptions from Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our team takes care of welcoming lost or abandoned animals and also takes care of the placement of the lucky ones who have found a new owner.
The veterinary team
Our veterinarians serve the animals we collect on a daily basis. Their missions are multiple: they examine incoming animals, tour the kennels, provide care to sick or disabled residents. They sterilize, vaccinate and identify cats and dogs by microchip. They also give advice to people who come to adopt an animal.
The workers
Animal personnel are the lifeblood of our organization. They maintain the kennels and pamper our residents. They give them food, walk them, take them to the veterinary office for their care and lavish them with caresses and attention. Responsible for the cleanliness and general maintenance of the property, they also look after larger animals such as donkeys, ponies and sheep in our meadows.
The inspection service
The Veeweyde team of inspectors is responsible for checking whether adopted animals are well cared for by their new owners.
